Did you know that Green Design is not limited to residential construction, but that Green Design is just as applicable and achievable in Commercial projects as well?
In many commercial projects, some of the biggest benefits include:
- Energy Savings
- Improved Indoor Air Quality
- Reduced impact on the environment
- Water conservation
Bathrooms today can contain toilets that operate on less than 1.6 gallons per flush, less than half of the water used by a typical toilet used in the 80’s. Advances in high efficiency air conditioning systems have led to energy usage in new systems that are typically half of what it was on a 10-year old system. No or low VOC paints, and natural and rapidly renewable materials reduce and eliminate off gassing, a direct contributor to better indoor air quality.
As a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association, Sabatello is working hard to combine beautiful, functional design with the long term value and benefits of sustainable building. On a daily basis, business practices include recycling 95% of construction waste, installing energy efficient lighting in our offices, models and warehouse facilities, and recycling in both our business and personal homes.
In discussing potential commercial building with our clients, we strive to include ideas and product selections that reflect our growing awareness of their impact on our planet.
Our professional staff includes Indoor Air Quality specialists, a Certified Green Professional by the National Home Builders Association and a Certifying Agent for the Florida Green Building Coalition, available for consultation on every project.
By discussing and planning for energy efficient strategies prior to the start of a new commercial project, the costs to integrate these changes are minimized, particularly in relation to long term savings to our clients and our planet.
